Galaxy S26 series: Leaks reveal new design and technical specifications ahead of launch

Just under a month before the official presentation on February 25, 2026, high-resolution marketing images of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series have leaked. The leaks confirm a departure from the previous camera layout towards a unified design language, as well as significant differences in the processor configuration for the European market.
Design: Unification and the new "camera island"
According to the Android Headlines According to released images, Samsung is bringing the design of its base models closer to that of the Ultra model. The previously rather rounded corners of the S26 and S26+ are giving way to a smaller radius, resulting in a more angular look. The most striking new feature is the introduction of a so-called "camera island," which visually groups the lenses together in a separate area – a design element already used in the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

In addition to classic black, the S26 Ultra will be available in a new color option called "Cobalt Violet," a deep violet hue, with a color-coordinated S Pen. All models retain the completely flat metal frame.
Hardware specifications and processor strategy
Technically, Samsung is once again employing a two-tier system for processors in Europe. While the Ultra model is equipped with the latest Qualcomm chip worldwide, the S26 and S26+ in Europe have to make do with Samsung's own Exynos processor.
The technical data at a glance:
Galaxy S26: 6,3 inch display, 4.300 mAh battery, 7,2 mm height, Exynos 2600.
Galaxy S26 +: 6,7 inch display, 4.600 mAh battery, 7,3 mm height, Exynos 2600.
Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6,9-inch display, 5.000 mAh battery, 7,9 mm height, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Despite the extremely thin design of the base models, the S26 Ultra, at 7,9 millimeters, remains the most massive device in the series, which is likely due in part to the larger battery and the integrated S-Pen garage.
Software and market launch
All devices in the series come standard with Android 16 and the new user interface One UI 8.5 It has been delivered. It remains to be seen how the Exynos 2600 will fare in direct comparison to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, especially regarding efficiency and heat generation in the very thin cases (7,2 mm).
The official launch event is, according to Evan Blass for February 25, 2026 Scheduled. Information on the exact prices is not yet available, according to WinFuture The prices of entry-level models will rise while the price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra will fall.
