Ahead of MWC 2026, Honor held a jam-packed keynote. While many manufacturers are simply repackaging Chinese releases for the global market, Honor actually brought new hardware. The hands-on review revealed both strengths and weaknesses – not only with the devices themselves, but also with the on-site organization in Barcelona.

Honor Magic Pad 4: Thinner than the competition

The Honor Magic Pad 4 came up somewhat unexpectedly, but it's quite impressive. At just 4,8 mm thick, it's currently the thinnest Android tablet on the market. Despite its extremely slim design, the device feels sturdy. The 12,3-inch OLED panel delivers exceptionally smooth visuals with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, which was immediately noticeable in our initial testing.

Under the hood, there's plenty of power: A Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor is supported by either 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM. The 10.100 mAh battery can be charged at 66 watts. The software focus is particularly interesting. Honor is clearly positioning the tablet as an alternative to Apple products and has even integrated features to use the device as a companion for Apple products. With the keyboard case and magnetic stylus, up to 12 apps can be opened simultaneously, which worked surprisingly well in our hands-on testing. However, with a suggested retail price of €699 (currently €599 at launch), it's a clear challenge to the competition from Samsung.

Magic V6: The foldable that's no longer bulky

The real highlight is the Honor Magic V6. Honor has managed to shrink the casing to a mere 9 mm thick when folded. This makes it feel less like a foldable phone and more like a regular flagship smartphone such as the S26 Ultra. The 6.600 mAh carbon battery is particularly impressive, offering enormous capacity despite the slim design.

The internal display measures 7,95 inches (LPTO AMOLED, 120 Hz), while the external display is 6,52 inches. Inside, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor powers the device. The camera hardware, featuring a 200 MP main sensor and a 64 MP telephoto lens, promises a lot, but couldn't be fully assessed in the hectic demo area. A titanium hinge and IP69 certification round out the package. However, Honor's release strategy remains puzzling: although the device appears finished, it's not expected to launch until the second half of 2026 – presumably after Samsung's offerings.

Chaos during the keynote and bizarre robots

In addition to tablets and foldables, Honor also showcased a "robot smartphone," though no hands-on experience was available. A dancing humanoid robot on stage provided entertainment and demonstrated Honor's technological ambitions, but it was not accessible for closer interaction in the demo area.

Prices and availability

The Honor Magic Pad 4 is available now. The MSRP is €699 for the base model and €799 for the larger storage variant. However, there are launch discounts of €599 available through the Honor website. There is no price announcement yet for the Magic V6 in Europe, as its release is still several months away. The MagicBook Pro 14 2026 was also mentioned as a simple hardware upgrade without a specific release date for our market.
