Honor will launch its new flagship tablet, the MagicPad 4, on the German market on March 2, 2026. It stands out primarily due to its extremely slim design, measuring just 4,8 millimeters thick. In addition to its sleek design, the tablet will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, making its debut in the tablet segment.
Design and display with a focus on portability
With a case thickness of just 4,8 millimeters and a weight of 450 grams, Honor positions the MagicPad 4 as a direct competitor to the Apple iPad Pro. To ensure the necessary stability despite the thin design, the manufacturer uses a so-called "crescent structure" as well as special fibers from the aerospace industry. The case houses a 12,3-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 3.000 × 1.920 pixels.
Of particular note is the 165 Hz refresh rate, which is designed to ensure smooth visuals. Honor specifies a peak brightness of 2.400 nits in HDR mode, suggesting the use of a tandem OLED panel. The display bezels are comparatively narrow at just 4 mm, resulting in a high screen-to-body ratio.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and cooling system
Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, manufactured using a 3nm process. The MagicPad 4 is thus the first tablet to utilize this high-end SoC. In Germany, two storage variants are offered: a model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and a version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. To ensure stable performance even under sustained load, a 13-layer 3D cooling system with a surface area of over 81.000 mm² is integrated.
Power is supplied by a 10.100 mAh battery, which can be charged via cable at up to 66 watts. For audio playback, Honor uses an eight-speaker system that supports spatial audio. In terms of connectivity, the device is state-of-the-art with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
Productivity through PC mode and Apple integration
On the software side, Honor focuses on robust connectivity. The tablet features a dedicated PC mode that offers a desktop interface including a taskbar, file management, and support for common keyboard shortcuts. With the optional accessories, consisting of a keyboard case and stylus, the entire setup weighs approximately 852 grams.
Of particular interest to users of different ecosystems is the "Honor Connect" feature. This enables cross-brand collaboration and even integrates Apple devices. For example, the MagicPad 4 can be used as an external monitor for a MacBook. The software is complemented by various AI tools that can, among other things, automatically generate meeting minutes or summarize notes.
Availability and prices
The Honor MagicPad 4 will be available in gray and white. While pre-registrations are already possible, the official sales launch in Germany will take place on March 2, 2026. The manufacturer will announce the specific prices for the various storage configurations on March 1 at 14 PM during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The unveiling of the new foldable Honor Magic V6 is also expected there.
