Samsung is reportedly working on a new smartwatch
Samsung could soon introduce the new Samsung Galaxy S10. In the course of this, the manufacturer will probably also show a new smartwatch. There are now the first rumors about one of these.
According to SamMobile, this ominous Samsung smartwatch has appeared under the model number SM-R500 and is codenamed "Pulse". Therefore it stands to reason that this smart gadget is the direct successor of the Samsung Gear Sport which was presented at the IFA 2017 in Berlin. For the model name, Samsung could choose “Galaxy Watch Sport” or “Galaxy Sport”. The watch will definitely not be called "Gear Sport 2", as Samsung has launched the Gear series with the Galaxy Watch buried.
Some details about the innards of the watch are already known. The internal memory will be four gigabytes again, the operating system will still be Samsung's Tizen OS and Bixby will be used as the voice assistant. I suspect the watch will also have a heart rate monitor, GPS, and accelerometers. I also think that water resistance up to at least 5 ATM is not unlikely, since the Gear Sport and the Galaxy Watch already have that. Information on the housing sizes or possible LTE versions is not yet available.
