Apple has also dedicated today's Apple event to the iPads - this is how the iPad (8th Gen) and iPad Air 4 were presented today. In this article we have an overview of all new tablets from Apple.

Besides the new Apple Watches there were also new iPads to be seen today. So there is now the iPad of the 8th generation and the iPad Air 4. A great focus has also been placed on the upcoming iPadOS 14, which will of course come on all iPads presented. We already have in this article explains what's new in the upcoming version.

Nothing has really changed with the new iPad Air (8th gen) compared to the new iPad Air 4 (below). As an upgrade, there is now the Apple A12 chip, which is not the newest. Nevertheless, it is equipped with six computing cores and four graphics cores. Basically he should be 40 Procent faster than the predecessorproprocessor of the iPad 7th gen.

Also new is the support for the Smart Keyboard from Apple, the keyboards from Logitech and the support for the Apple Pencil. The latter is possible because the “normal” iPad is now also equipped with a Smart Connector. The battery is said to last up to ten hours, and it is still refueled using the Lightning connector. USB-C is only used directly on the power supply - that's a shame.

For photos there is the usual 8 megapixel camera on the back, and the front camera has not changed either. The design has also remained completely the same - including the home button and Touch ID. The iPad (8th Gen) will be available for pre-order starting today for $ 329 and shipping on Friday. It will be available for $ 299 for schools and education customers.

iPad Air 4

The new iPad Air 4 comes in a completely new design. Basically, this is with that of the iPad Pro ajar. The home button has now disappeared – but not with Touch ID. The fingerprint sensor is now in the power button of the iPad. Unfortunately, Face ID is not available on the new iPad Air 4 either. The new iPad Air 4 uses a Liquid Retina display with a diagonal of 10,9 inches. This also has a surprisingly good resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels.

Inside is an A14 Proprocessor with six cores, which 40 Procent faster than the predecessor. A big highlight is the USB-C connection on the iPad Air – now you can proeasily connect external monitors up to 4K. Of course, the new iPad Air 4 is also charged via USB-C with 20 watts. The integrated battery should last up to ten hours. Stereo audio is now also cool; the previous speaker system in the Air has been completely overhauled and repositioned.

For videos and telephony there is a 7 megapixel FaceTime HD camera with f/2.2 on the front. On the back is the same lens as in the iPad Pro (but only one), which has a resolution of 12 megapixels (f/1.8), can record up to 4K 60 FPS videos and supports 240 FPS videos in Slo-Mo.

Exact countries were not named, but we are probably there in this country.
