CAGGTUS Leipzig 2024: The Gaming Festival of the Community

The CAGGTUS Leipzig is a special kind of gaming festival organized by the community for the community. From April 5th to 7th, 2024, everything in Leipzig revolved around gaming, gaming culture and the shared festival experience. Gaming fans, content creators and friends come together here to play together, celebrate and share their passion for video games. A brief summary.

The CAGGTUS Leipzig takes place at the Leipzig Trade Fair and everything is concentrated in one hall, instead of being divided into several halls, as is the case, for example, at the Gamescom is used.

• Streaming Corner: Here, well-known content creators such as Bonjwa and Baso stream live from the event and provide live content.
• Food stalls: A variety of food stalls offer delicious dishes and snacks to ensure your physical well-being.
• LAN party: Parallel to CAGGTUS, there is a LAN party where you can play from Thursday to Sunday. Here you can play your favorite games together, hold tournaments and cheer on pigeons.
• Expo area: The Expo area offers hardware, software and merchandising for gaming fans. Here visitors can test and purchase the latest products. This is also where the exhibitors are located and companies like Samsung present their latest products and technologies, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the latest innovations from the gaming world.
• IndieGround: In this area, visitors can discover the latest indie games fromprobeers and get to know new, up-and-coming developers. There was around 180 square meters of space to test and find new favorite games.
• Freeplay area: In the Freeplay area, visitors can enjoy games alone or together and try out different genres fromproAlthough it seemed a little carelessly designed at first glance, it was well received and used.
• Event Stage: The Event Stage offers tournaments, show matches and cosplay competitions where visitors can experience their favorite games on a big stage. A program took place here over the entire weekend and there was always something going on.
• Cosplay area: In the cosplay area, fans come together in their elaborate costumes to express their love for their favorite characters. A cosplay competition was also held on Saturday evening.

My impression

CAGGTUS Leipzig is a relatively small but great gaming festival that offers a lot of potential. Unlike other large trade fairs such as Gamescom, CAGGTUS is not overcrowded and offers a relaxed atmosphere. Visitors can explore the various areas in peace, enjoy shows and network.

Nevertheless, the event is quite manageable, so you can quickly see everything in one day. Nevertheless, CAGGTUS is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in gaming culture and meet like-minded people.

Overall, I was impressed by CAGGTUS Leipzig. Despite a few missing stands, the festival seemed more complete this year and proThe uniform corporate design gave the event a well thought-out structure and made it an all-round successful experience.

What is particularly worth mentioning is the friendly and inviting atmosphere that characterizes CAGGTUS. Unlike other events, it gives the feeling that you are there not just for the trade fair, but also for the fun.

The next CAGGTUS Leipzig will take place from April 11th to 13th, 2025. We are excited to see how the festival will develop and look forward to another year full of gaming, fun and community!
