Documents 7 is the latest version of Readdle's file explorer for iOS and iPadOS. This is now available with new functions in the App Store.

Let's start with an obvious change, which is the design. This is now more modern and is similar to that of PDFExpert 7, Readdle's PDF tool. A dark mode is finally on board, it activates with the system-wide dark mode of iOS and iPadOS. Apropos: The app is now fully compatible with the iPad operating system, which means that features such as multi-window are also available. There's also a plus button on the bottom right of the iPhone that lets you create new folders and PDFs, and import files from third-party services, which now include the native Files app. Conversely, the Files app also has access to the contents of Documents.

Documents 7: New browser and useful PDF tools

It doesn't stop with the new look. Documents 7 also comes with a large set of useful tools for editing PDFs. In fact, all the tools in the free version of PDF Expert 7 are available. Others can be activated with an optional subscription. The Readdle PDF app is then no longer required. Even an in-app browser is included with the update to version 7, which makes downloading files even faster and easier.
