Firefox Preview: This is the new, faster Mozilla Firefox for Android

Firefox has yet to really gain a foothold on smartphones. Now a new preview has been published, which makes the browser more modern and even faster. You should now be on the road up to twice as fast. In addition, the aim is to bring more users to the Firefox browser - also on smartphones.
The new announced Firefox Preview for Android is a mixture of the current browser and Firefox Klar. The second is an extra browser from Mozilla, specially specialized for privacy. This is available for Android and iOS. Unfortunately, it offers very few functions, which is why many have refrained from using them. Now you want to pack both in one app and polish up the browser design.
Firefox Preview: Significantly better performance
Firefox Quantum is now also used in the new Firefox Preview. This should significantly improve the performance - overall you should be on the net twice as fast as currently. In addition, the self-developed rendering engine is used as the rendering engine GeckoView. So you don't have to use any code parts and libraries from Google and you are completely independent.

In addition to the new look, there is also a dark mode. This is activated automatically with the system setting. This function for automatic selection is only available for users with Android Q available. Other users can also choose the dark theme manually in Firefox Preview.
Firefox Preview is now available for Download for Android ready in the Play Store. However, this is still a preview - therefore any errors may still occur. In the course of the year, the plan is to make the version available to all users. Firefox Preview will then be replaced with the current Firefox browser for Android.
