Well not on that one after all IFA in Berlin: Fitbit is now revealing the secret of the Fitbit Versa 2 even earlier. In addition, they also presented an inexpensive Bluetooth scale called Fitbit Aria Air.

Been a long time we know about the upcoming Fitbit Versa 2. This afternoon it was presented completely unannounced - we reported. Journalists were informed via press release. We hadn't really heard of a new scale in the past - but with the Aria Air one came after all. The new Libra can do that.

Fitbit Aria Air: "Intelligent" scales with Bluetooth

The intelligent Fitbit Aria Air scales come with Bluetooth - this is used to synchronize the data with the Fitbit app. Incomprehensible that you are still not using WiFi (like the Withings Body Cardio) - so you always have to have your smartphone with you when weighing. More precisely, the scales only record the user's weight - but that's about it. No heart rate, no muscle mass & Co.

The weight is then used together with the data entered in the Fitbit app to calculate the user's BMI. So you can calculate whether the user is overweight or underweight. So you have a complete picture of your health in your Fitbit app.

From the end of September, the scales will be available from selected retailers, at Fitbit itself and on Amazon be available for pre-order. They will be delivered in black and white from the beginning of October. The price is 59,99 euros (RRP).
