Google Duo: Update brings audio messages, among other things
Google regularly publishes updates for its own apps. The last one for Google Duo includes audio messaging support, among other things.
Right at the beginning: The update will not appear in the app list in the Play Store and in the App Store. Instead, Google distributes the new version automatically. This means that it can take some time before all of the following features are obtained. They don't appear on my Honor 8X yet.
Update for Google Duo: This is new
Probably the most interesting of the new features is voice memo support. This can be sent by selecting a person from the contact list. And speaking of the contact list: there used to be a tab for audio and a video, both were combined with the update. For videos, there are now tools for drawing and decorating. Ultimately, Google improved the way in which you define favorite contacts. In the past, this was done with a long press on the desired entry. It is now possible to select several contacts at the same time. Again: It may take some time before all users receive the server-side update. The post will be updated if this is the case with my smartphone.
