Google Play Store down: Server error prevents access to store and games

At the moment the Google Play Store seems to be down. Currently, you get an error message when you click or search for apps. Numerous users seem to be affected - we have the same error.
Article posted at 13:38 pm: There is currently a problem with Google Play Services. It is currently not possible to download apps from the Android store or log into games. The latter runs via the Google Play services, which are also currently unavailable. The only error message currently displayed is "Server error". Also, that seems Proproblem affecting users around the world – on twitter you have already posted corresponding error messages.

Google Play Store down: what's behind it?
It is difficult to say with such disturbances. It's safe to say that it's not because of your own device. Several users have already posted the bug on Twitter. We were also able to reproduce the error on several devices - so it does not work with several users. It is probably due to a bug in Google's data center.
When this error will be fixed, however, is questionable. Most of the time, large corporations don't comment on this anyway. Currently, the error seems to occur in Germany, Austria and countries like Brazil and China. It therefore seems a large-scale Proto be a problem
The web version of the Google Play Store also keeps getting errors. Here you can read "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."

Update at 13:35 pm: Nothing has changed so far - the error persists on all of our devices.
Update at 13:49 pm: Other users confirm us on twitter a Prostated problems.
Update at 14:04 pm: No change so far.
Update at 14:11 pm: For some users it seems to be working again in part, for others not yet.
Update at 14:43 pm: Farther Proproblems downloading apps.
Update at 15:41 pm: A restart of the smartphone could do that Profix my problem.
The Play Store works again after restarting my smartphone! Does that work for you too?
