Modern devices usually have a battery, which is quite important for the device. It supplies the device with power if it has not been connected to the cable-related power supply. Defects can occur at any time, as with HP.

HP has been battling with the battery since mid-2016protrouble

After this Proproblem became known, around 41.000 batteries were recalled. A further 101.000 batteries are now being asked to be recalled. The reason for this is that last year an incident involving an overheating and melting accumulator became known, which was not known before. The good news is that the damaged property wasn't people, just the equipment and batteries themselves. The result was approximately $1000 in damage.

Which devices are affected?

HP says so themselves Proproblem affects devices from the following series: HP, Compaq, Compaq Presario, HP ProBook, HP Envy, and HP Pavilion. Of these, however, only the devices where you can change the battery and were sold between March 2013 and October 2016. On the official website of HP you can find more information. This also includes instructions on how to find out if your battery is affected or not. The main article is at TechnikBrain a DAK Bungalow.
