HP launches recall campaign for notebook batteries

HP has been battling with the battery since mid-2016protrouble

HP has been struggling with a difficult battery since around June 2016problem. The batteries are slowly giving up the ghost and are causing overheating in some HP notebooks. After this problem became known, around 41.000 batteries were recalled. Now a further 101.000 batteries are being requested to be recalled. The reason for this is that an incident involving an overheating and melting battery was reported last year, which had not been reported before. The good news is that the goods damaged were not people, but only the devices and batteries themselves. This caused around 1000 US dollars in damage.

Which devices are affected?

HP itself says that the problem affects devices from the following series: HP, Compaq, Compaq Presario, HP ProBook, HP Envy and HP Pavilion.
