iPhone 17: Long delivery times, priceprognosis and leakage of packaging

Apple introduced the new iPhone 9 series on September 2025, 17, causing quite a stir. Alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple is launching the iPhone Air for the first time—a particularly thin model that replaces the previous iPhone Plus.
Delivery times are already increasing significantly, and the first pictures of the packaging have surfaced ahead of the official launch. We have all the information on the technical specifications, pricing, and availability.
Delivery Times
Demand for the new iPhones is enormous. The iPhone 17 Pro, in particular, is becoming a box office hit. Those who didn't pre-order right away should expect longer wait times. The current delivery times are as follows:
iPhone 17 Pro: Delivery between September 30 and October 15
iPhone 17: 1 to 3 weeks waiting time depending on the color
iPhone Air: certain colors like Sky blue Some are available immediately, other variants are delayed by a few days
If you order an iPhone together with a new mobile phone contract, you can sometimes receive it even sooner.
Priceprognosis
The prices of the iPhone 17 series start high, but those with patience can save a lot.
iPhone 17: Starting at 949 euros – after 5 months around 20% cheaper, i.e. approx. 760 euros
iPhone 17 Pro: Starting at 1.299 euros – after 5 months about 16% cheaper, about 1.080 euros
iPhone 17 Pro Max: Starting at 1.449 euros – after 5 months about 17% cheaper, around 1.200 euros
The iPhone Air's price may remain relatively stable at launch, as it is a completely new model. Those looking to save money should consider purchasing the other versions around five months wait – from this point on, prices will settle at a more attractive level.
Leak of packaging
Shortly before the official launch on Friday, the first real pictures of the new iPhone packaging have surfaced. Jon Freier, President of T-Mobile, published photos on X.
The packaging remains true to the well-known Apple design:
White boxes with a minimalist look

The packaging of the new iPhone Air is particularly interesting, highlighting the device's extremely thin profile. The new boxes are already a highlight for collectors – the Air's, in particular, is likely to be particularly sought-after due to its novelty.
