The long wait is finally over, because Apple has just introduced four new iPhones, all of which have become significantly more expensive. Similar to last year, this time there are two regular and two Pro-Models that are quite different this year, so we decided to write a separate article for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

So the rumors were true! Unfortunately, there is no longer an iPhone Mini, which is likely to be very disappointing for many. Instead, there is now a larger base model called the iPhone 14 Plus, which is basically just a larger version of the iPhone 14.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus: Specifications

In terms of design, almost nothing has changed compared to the predecessor. The back is still made of high-gloss glass and the frame is made of aluminum, which should be very grateful for fingerprints due to the matte surface. When it comes to the colors, customers can choose between “Midnight”, “Polar Star”, “Violet”, “Product Red" and a new blue, which is significantly lighter than its predecessor. At 172 grams, the iPhone 14 isn't too heavy and the 203 grams of the Plus model also seem to be fine for the enormous size. Otherwise, nothing has changed in terms of design.

On the front of the smaller model, Apple has installed a 6,1-inch OLED display with an elongated 19,5:9 aspect ratio, which has a resolution of 2.532 x 1.170 and only supports 60 Hertz. The iPhone 14 Plus has a 6,7-inch 60 Hertz OLED display with a resolution of 2.778 x 1.284 pixels. Last year's in-house A15 Bionic SoC works inside. Depending on the version, there is also 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal memory that cannot be expanded. Unfortunately, there is no information about the RAM at the moment. Face ID and stereo speakers are of course also on board this year. In addition, the rumors about satellite telephony were true. The new iPhones show users in which direction it needs to be held in order to be able to connect to the satellite.

As is typical for Apple, there is no further information on the battery capacity, but the manufacturer promises video playback of 20 hours for the smaller model and even up to 26 hours for the larger iPhone, which is even better than the 13th iPhone Pro max is The battery can be charged from 20 to 30 in about 0 minutes with a 50 watt power pack (not included). Procent loaded.

Apple has installed a dual camera on the back, which is led by a new 12 megapixel main camera with a bright aperture of f/1.5. Above all, Apple wants to have significantly improved the low-light shots. The whole thing is supplemented by an ultra wide-angle camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels. A new, larger front camera is responsible for selfies, which also has a resolution of 12 megapixels.

High prices

The iPhone 14 starts with 128 GB of internal memory for a whopping 999 euros and for 130 euros more you get double the memory. If you need 512 GB of storage, you have to pay 1.389 euros. Regular sales begin September 16th.

The iPhone 14 Plus starts with 128 GB of storage for 1.149 euros and for 1.279 euros you get twice the storage. The top version with 512 GB costs 1.539 euros. It goes on sale on October 7th.
