Elgato, a German company, launched their first HomeKit-enabled devices a year ago Proproducts presented. These apparently sold so well that Elgato decided they could do with new ones Procome to the IFA. That's why we found four completely new ones at the company's stand this year Proproducts and an updated one Product. An overview.

Eve Thermo in the 2017 edition

Typically, this ProBasically, we all know dukt from last year. The Eve Thermo is a knob that you mount instead of the heating controller. Now you can control and automate the temperature in the rooms with the Eve app or Apple HomeKit and create complex processes. What's new this year is that you can view and control the current temperature directly on the module. This saves you having to reach for your smartphone or tablet.

The Elgato Eve Thermo 2017 will hit the market on September 26th at an MSRP of € 70.

Once everything has been installed, the door is automatically locked every time it is opened and closed. You can also control the lock manually via Bluetooth using Google Home, the Eve app or Apple HomeKit. If you have an Apple TV or an iPad at home, you can even open the door remotely via HomeKit, for example to let the neighbors in to water your flowers. Practically.

Eve Smoke

As the name suggests, the Elgato Eve Smoke is a smoke detector that can be controlled via Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit. Its main feature is that it can detect smoke build-up in its own home. Should this ever be the case, there are several ways in which he can notify the homeowner. First of all, it can generate an acoustic signal and send the owner a notification to the Eve app and the HomeKit app. Then it is still possible that you can make your own Philips Hue lighting blink, which can also draw your attention to it. It is also possible to combine all three variants of the notification. In the Eve app or the HomeKit app, you can also see the status of the smoke detector and your own rooms. It also offers a proud ten years of battery life and was developed with the security company Hager.

Eve Window Guard

The Elgato Eve Window Guard is a HomeKit-enabled hinge with Bluetooth that is built into the window frame. Once you've done that, you can do a few handy things with it. For example, there is a possibility that Proproduct into his HomeKit network and connects it to an Eve Weather. Then you can have a notification sent to you in the event of bad weather to close the window if it is open. The Window Guard also recognizes the status of the window. If this changes, you will also receive a notification. Vibrations on the window are also reported, which serves as protection against burglary.
