iPad Air 5 introduced: The lightweight, compact tablet with M1 processor

Apple presented the last iPad Air (4) in September 2020. Now, with the iPad Air 5, there is a new edition of the compact, lightweight Apple tablet.
The biggest innovation in the Apple iPad Air 5 is the already familiar M1 under the hood. Up until now, Apple has relied on its Bionic processors. The path for Apple seems to be very clear - to bring the processors of tablets and notebooks even closer together. Then it will only be a matter of time before the iPhones also switch to the M processor.

Faster, not only because of M1
Thanks to the new M1 processor, the iPad Air 5 is 60 percent faster than its predecessor. It also now offers double the graphics performance, along with a USB-C port that is twice as fast for transferring images and files, for example from external hard drives. But it's not just the new processor that makes the iPad faster - it now also has built-in 5G for even faster downloads and uploads. All of the frequencies commonly used in our country are supported.

The design remains basically the same, purple is also added as a new color. Interested parties don't have to wait much longer, the iPad Air 5 can be pre-ordered from Friday at a price of 679 euros for 64 GB (or 849 euros for LTE) and 256 GB of internal memory for 849 euros (1.019 euros for LTE). It will then be delivered from March 18th.
