iPad Pro (2018) will soon also support the cheaper Logitech Crayon pen
With updates you can change a lot. This is also said to be an upcoming iOS update for the iPad Pro (2018) show. So you want to release the support for a cheaper pen for the iPad with this. Only the Apple Pencil is currently supported.
The apple can only use its own pens: at least that's the case with the iPad Pro (2018) currently still so. As Appleinsider reported on appeal by TheVerge, according to an insider, Apple is said to have a great update for the iPad Pro plan from last year. Specifically, the next version of iOS 12 is supposed to be released today – at the Launch of the Apple Streaming Service - appear. This should also prepare the Apple devices for the new service. Then the cheaper Logitech Crayon pen will also work with last year's iPad. It already works with the latest model.
Not every Apple Pencil works with every iPad. We have in this guide explained which pen is the right one for which iPad.
30 euros cheaper, but does not recognize any pressure
The Logitech pen currently costs around 30 euros less than the Apple Pencil. However, it does not recognize any pressure level and therefore cannot change the thickness of the lines by itself. However, the line width can be changed by tilting the pen – so you would have this Proproblem also solved. However, the Logitech pen is also inferior to the Apple model in terms of battery life: the Apple pen for 100 euros should last around 12 hours, the Logitech Crayon just under seven hours.
The Logitech pen is also charged using a Lightning connector. Thus, the charging plug is not chosen impractically. But you have to decide for yourself whether you can save the 30 euros and do without the functions mentioned above. Older iPads Pro However, models will not be compatible with the Logitech pen. iPad owner Pro (2017) unfortunately had bad luck.
