Yesterday JBL invited us to an event as part of the IFA 2023 in Berlin. There they presented numerous new ones Proproducts.

In addition to some new headphones, they also presented a new party box and new home speakers. About what ProYou can read below exactly what these products are and what their most important functions are.

JBL Live 670NC & 770NC

With the Live 670NC & 770NC, JBL has updated the over- and on-ear headphones in the popular live series. The design hasn't really changed compared to the previous models. The sound and active noise cancellation, on the other hand, are said to have improved somewhat. The microphone quality and the battery life, which JBL now states as up to 60 hours, are also said to have improved, which is an extremely good value. JBL now also provides the headphones with Bluetooth 5.3 LE and Personifi 2.0 technology, which makes it possible to individualize the sound through hearing tests. The headphones are available from today for a price of 179 euros for the Live 770NC, or 129 euros for the Live 670NC.

JBL Soundgear Sense

With the Soundgear Sense, JBL introduced a completely new Proproduct category in your portfolio. These headphones are so-called open-ear headphones. These are fixed behind the ear with a bracket and then placed over the auditory canal. This should make it possible to hear both the music and your surroundings well, without any transparency mode. The headphones also offer an optional neckband, which is intended to provide a better grip.

Of course, the new headphones also come with Bluetooth 5.3 LE and the JBL Headphones app. A 16,2 millimeter driver provides the sound. The voice quality should also be at a high level thanks to the 4 built-in microphones. The battery life with up to 6 hours in one charge and 18 more hours via the case sounds promising. Also worth mentioning is the IP54 certification, which should protect the headphones from rain, sweat and dust. The Soundgear Sense are available today for €149,99. My detailed test report will follow in the near future.

JBL party box Ultimate

With the Partybox Ultimate, JBL is launching the new flagship of the Partybox series. This should score above all with an outstanding sound and a very high volume. In addition to Bluetooth 5.3 LE, it now also offers WLAN, which I think is pretty cool. The light show typical of the party box is also back on board. Unfortunately, the missing battery is also typical of the large party boxes, which I can understand given the size and power consumption. The Partybox Ultimate is also protected against water with IPX4, which could certainly come in handy when used outdoors. The party box is controlled via the buttons and controls on the top, as well as via the JBL One app, which of course also offers an equalizer. The party box is available from today for a price of 1.499 euros, which in my opinion is a lot of money for a party speaker.

JBL Authentics range

With the speakers of the Authentics series, JBL is introducing three brand new home speakers. In addition to the small Authentics 200, there are also the Authentics 300 and Authentics 500. These place particular value on good sound and good design. It's also worth noting that all three speakers have a down-firing subwoofer, which I think is pretty cool. The first thing that catches your eye when you see the new speakers is that they have a very nostalgic design that is extremely reminiscent of older JBL speakers. A lot of people, including me, might like this quite a bit, but JBL isn't going to appeal to everyone with this design. In order to appeal to all target groups, JBL installed WiFi and Bluetooth, as well as Alexa and the Google Assistant in all three speakers.

The Authentics 200 is the entry into the Authentics series and will be available for 329 euros. For 100 euros more you get the Authentics 300, which offers a slightly better sound and an integrated battery. The flagship of the series, the Authentics 500, can then be purchased for 629 euros. All three speakers will be available to order from September 15th.
