LG V30 presents: The new flagship killer?
At IFA 2017, LG presented the third smartphone with a FullVision display. That is why there is no longer the second display in the upper part of the display this year. Is it still independent enough to be able to keep its own name? And can it keep up with the competition?

Display and housing: LG is now finally relying on FullVision
On the front of the LG V30 there is a 6-inch POLED FullVision display in 18: 9 format. That has a Quad HD Plus resolution. Compared to the LG G6 with the same display resolution, the display has grown by 0,3 inches. That's why we have a lower pixel density in LG's new flagship, which is still sufficiently high at 538ppi. Incidentally, the second display in the upper part of the screen is missing on the V30. The display supports the HDR10 standard for this.
The back is made of tempered glass. This is not quite as robust as aluminum or ceramic, but still more resistant than pure glass. Apropos robust: The LG V30 is waterproof according to IP68 and robust on the basis of several military standards. There is also a dual camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back. There is also a B&O and LG branding.
Specs: Everything done right
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. This is the latest and currently most energy-saving chip from Qualcomm - a big plus. 4GB of RAM ensure smooth multitasking. Multimedia content can then be stored on the 64GB internal memory. If you need more memory, you can use the LG V30 Plus.
This is just a regular V30 with 128GB of internal storage, the rest is completely identical. Both storage options can be expanded using a microSD card. Incidentally, the battery is 3300mAh and should accompany you through a whole day. This can also be increased to 50 in half an hour with the right power pack Probe charged cent.
Software
You really shouldn't expect anything special here. The LG V30 comes from the factory with Android version 7.1.2. In addition, the LG UX 6.0 was installed on the smartphone. An update to Android 8.0 Oreo is very likely soon. Otherwise, as already mentioned, you can expect typical LG software. Only something has changed in the settings for the sound.

Camera
LG is also installing a dual camera in its latest smartphone. The main camera has a resolution of 16MP and a bright f / 1.6 aperture. It also has optical image stabilization and can record everything at an angle of 71 degrees. The second camera is again a wide-angle camera that can save everything in the range of 120 degrees. In addition, it has an f / 1.9 aperture, which no longer absorbs too much light.
Sound chip
LG is particularly proud of that. This is a QUAD DAC audio chip that was developed with B&O. Hence this logo on the back of the device. With this chip you should be able to easily output better HI-FI sound via speakers and headphones. You can now also make manual settings for the sound.
Price & release
The LG V30 has definitely earned its name and can clearly compete with the competition in the high-end area. This year everyone has a Snapdragon 835, 4GB and 64GB memory, which the V30 now also offers.
The LG V30 will appear in the first markets on September 21, on the release date of Note 8, in black, silver, blue and purple. It will then come to Europe in early November in the colors silver and blue. The RRP will be a proud € 900.
