The LG Wing is a real eye-catcher and something completely different. The main screen can be rotated by 90 degrees and there is another, smaller display underneath. For a few days it has finally been available from us.

In the following lines we want to take a look on the one hand at what advantages this new concept offers in everyday life, but also on how it is equipped in terms of hardware.

Two displays for more possibilities

The main screen of the LG Wing measures 6,8 inches and can be rotated 90 degrees. Below is another, smaller 3,9 inch display, with which a lot is possible:

On the one hand, there is the so-called gimbal mode, which, according to LG, should ensure very stable videos. With so-called joysticks on the small 3,9 inch display, you can control the angle, similar to a real gimbal. There is also a dual recording function. As the name suggests, in this mode you can film with both the front camera and the main camera at the same time.

Of course, you can also use two apps at the same time, actually like with all other Android smartphones, only the LG Wing has a lot more space.

There is another usage scenario. The large 6,8 inch display can be used for YouTube videos, for example, while controls for the player etc. can be displayed on the smaller 3,9 inch display.

LG Wing: Specs

The remaining specs can be summarized relatively quickly:

The main screen already mentioned measures 6,8 inches and has a sufficiently sharp resolution of 2.460 x 1.080 pixels. This is an OLED display with a refresh rate of only 60 Hertz. The smaller 3,9 inch additional screen is also an OLED display with 60 Hertz, which has a resolution of 1.240 x 1.080 pixels.

The LG Wing is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G and there is also 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory. There is also a larger version with twice as much flash memory. This can be expanded to up to 2 TB via a micro SD card. The battery is a solid 4.000 mAh and can be charged quickly with up to 25 watts.

On the back, LG installed a triple camera, consisting of a 64 megapixel (f / 1.8) main camera, a 13 megapixel (f / 1.9) ultra-wide-angle camera and another ultra-wide-angle camera with 12 megapixels (f / 2.2). The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels (f / 1.9) and extends out of the housing if necessary.

LG Wing: Price and availability
