MacBook Pro 2016: Start-up sound is missing

The new MacBook Pro 2016 not only does without physical function keys on the keyboard, but also the start-up sound that always played when the MacBook started up.

The typical startup sound has simply been removed, but there could be a very good reason for that. The new MacBook Pro 2016 just starts up quietly and doesn't tell you if the device has booted up or not.

Some users may lack start-up sound

The start sound has been around since 1998 and has always been used in iMacs, Macs, MacBooks and Co. But why is that? Well, except for one model, the new MacBook Pros have a touch bar that replaced the classic power button.

Classic power button replaced by touch bar

As already written, the classic power button is replaced by the Touch Bar. When looking at the MacBook Pro 2016 pops up, it will start automatically. But only if the battery still has enough capacity. The startup sound would inform the user, but it's been done away with anyway.
