Motorola Edge (Kyoto): These are the camera details [Exclusive]
The Motorola Edge, code-named "Kyoto", will be released in the next few months. We have the camera details in advance.
The Motorola Edge in 2020 heralded a flagship series for the first time at Motorola. Well answered EvLeaks via Twitter to his followers and reported on three more Motorola Edge devices with the code names "Kyoto, Berlin and Sierra", which will appear in 2021 as successors. As TechnikNews and Adam conway have now learned from reliable sources that these devices exist and we were able to find out the camera details via Kyoto.
"Kyoto" will appear with a 108 megapixel main camera, the same in the Motorola G60 or Redmi Note 10 Pro. This is manufactured by Samsung and runs under the model number "S5KHM2". An 8 megapixel camera from Samsung is used as an ultra wide angle, which also functions as a macro sensor. Only a 2 megapixel camera will be installed as a depth information sensor, a sensor from OmniVision (Ov02b1b). The front camera will have either a 16 or 32 megapixel sensor. We can't say yet whether the front camera varies by country or something similar. Either the "ov16a1q" or "ov32b" is used.
As the technical specifications read, we guess that "Kyoto" will be the cheapest of the three models. Some of the camera details would be a step backwards from the Edge in 2020, which in itself would not be logical. So it could be that Motorola is launching an Edge "Lite" this year. Accordingly, the "Edge Berlin" and the "Edge Sierra" would be the direct successors to the Edge and Edge Plus, which were released in 2020.
For more technical details like that ProWe do not have any specific data on the processor or display.
