With the Motorola G60 / G40 Fusion, the Chinese manufacturer will soon be introducing a mid-range smartphone with a high-resolution camera. All information in advance.

This research is in collaboration with my colleague Adam conway and halfabtech emerged.

The Motorola G60 was already known to us under the code name "Hanoip", we had previously reported. But at the beginning of the research, two code names fell into our hands. Hanoi and Hanoip. These indicated two devices, one with a 64-megapixel camera and the other with a 108-megapixel camera. During development, the devices were merged and there is only Hanoip. Hanoi (with a 730 Prozessor) was canceled according to our information. But the device is different in different markets. In Europe it will be marketed as the "Motorola G60" and will feature a 108-megapixel camera, while in India and Brazil it will be released as the "Motorola G64 Fusion" with a 40-megapixel camera.

As a ProWe reported that a Snapdragon 732G will be used. We still can't verify this information 100%, but it is most likely true. We now have concrete data on the storage variants. In India, the device will appear in a 4 + 64 and 6 + 128 gigabyte variant, just without NFC. Only a 6 + 128 gigabyte variant (with NFC) is planned for the European market.

There are also differences between the cameras. While at the time we interpreted the 16 megapixel camera as an ultra-wide angle, we can now classify the sensors better. The device will have a 60 megapixel camera as the main sensor as the "G108", together with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle camera and a 2 megapixel camera for depth information. The front camera on the G60 will have a resolution of 32 megapixels. The G40 "Fusion" will get a different main sensor (64 megapixels) and a different front camera (16 megapixels). The battery will be quite large at 6000 mAh.

The technical data has already been provided by XDA-Developers veröffentlicht, we can now confirm this. We do not have any display information either, XDA Developers reports on a 6,78 inch (approx. 17 cm) full HD + display with 120Hz, whether it is OLED remains open.

As our renders show, the device will have a “Google Key” for the assistant and a 3,5 mm jack. The fingerprint sensor sits in the Motorola logo on the back.

According to our new information, the device should be available in blue (green) and gray (brown).
