Netflix support for smart displays with Android Things could come soon

My biggest criticism of the software of the Lenovo Smart Display: The lack of Netflix. That is now changing, the service appears for the first smart display users.

In my review of the Lenovo Smart Display, I mentioned that it is in no way possible to use Netflix on the device. The service cannot be started via a voice command or via the Google Cast support of the smart display. In a somewhat older statement, the provider justified that they wanted to explore this rather new platform and then provide the appropriate support.

Appeared by some, not yet officially and working

9to5Google reported that some users of a Google Nest Hub see special commands for the video streaming service, such as "Next episode on office display!". In addition, is on one Google Assistant webpage the support of the service for smart displays is listed on a dedicated basis. Even if there is no official announcement for the move to Netflix on Google displays, it seems like things will really get going soon. Emphasis on "soon", because even if the streaming service is already out, it is not yet working. I will submit my own report as soon as Netflix is available on my Lenovo Smart Display.
