One of the first of its kind: Samsung Galaxy A8s presented

The notch is clearly one of the smartphone trends of 2018. Samsung is now taking a similar, but different, path with the Galaxy A8s - almost at the same time as Honor. All information.
So far there has not been a smartphone from Samsung that has a notch. That too Galaxy Note 9 does not have such a cutout, although it is still fairly new. Here, enough space was left at the top so that all the sensors fit in without any problems. Now Samsung is taking a completely different approach with the Galaxy A8s. The display of the new smartphone now has a hole that provides space for a 24-megapixel front camera. Samsung calls this the "Infinity-O Display". The earpiece is placed barely visible above the display.

Plays in the upper middle class
The display of the Galaxy A8s is 6,4 inches and has a FHD resolution. For the processor, Samsung opted for the Snapdragon 710 from Qualcomm. There is apparently no Exynos version. The RAM is quite large for a mid-range smartphone. You get 6 gigabytes or 8 gigabytes - depending on what you decide when buying. The storage is also quite large at 128 gigabytes. With a microSD card, you can increase this to up to 512 gigabytes.
Honor View 20 revealed almost at the same time
The Honor View 20, which was unveiled almost at the same time as the Galaxy A8s, is very similar to Samsung's smartphone. The front looks pretty much the same as that of the Samsung phone and the resolution of the display is the same as well. Only the front camera is a tiny fraction better with a resolution of 25 megapixels. Inside is the HiSilicon Kirin 980. The View 20 will not officially be presented until January 22nd. Prices for both smartphones are not yet known.
