OnePlus 3: Sales stop in some European countries

Yesterday, the co-founder of the Chinese company OnePlus announced that sales would be halted for a month. The reason for this is the extreme demand for the new flagship, the OnePlus 3. Some countries are affected, including those from Europe.

Like in official OnePlus forum has now been announced by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, the sale of the self-proclaimed flagship killer OnePlus 9 is to be paused for some European countries from August 3th. Pei doesn't want interested parties to have to wait so long, currently at least 4 weeks, for their order to arrive. That is why one should now focus primarily on manufacturing new devices and then being able to deliver them more quickly after the pre-sale stop.

Which countries are affected?

However, the temporary OnePlus 3 sales stop does not affect all countries. European countries such as Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Poland and Belgium are affected. Countries like Germany or Switzerland do not appear from the list, the OnePlus 3 should still be available here between August 09, 2016 and September 12, 2016 despite the pause. However, this could lead to longer delivery times. For those interested in the soft gold version of the OnePlus 3, the whole thing is faster: the delivery time is currently around 8-10 days.

According to Pei, work is currently underway on a new system that will better plan the required capacities in advance so that the devices can then be delivered to customers more quickly. In the past, it was only possible to buy the predecessors OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One via an invite. You had to be invited by another user in order to be able to complete the order yourself. With this system, the capacities could be better planned in advance. An e-mail notification system is also planned to inform interested users when the smartphone will be available again in the respective country.
