New headphones already indicated that the jack would no longer be available
OnePlus presented the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones in mid-September. These work with Bluetooth and could indicate the absence of the jack. This suspicion has now been officially confirmed: The jack plug is no longer required with the OnePlus 6T.
Another exciting new feature of the OnePlus 6T will be a fingerprint sensor under the display. Like Oppo, an optical sensor will be used. Here, the unlocking display lights up briefly at full brightness so that the finger can be read.
No wireless charging but stereo speakers instead?
For smartphones with a glass back, QI charging is usually proeasily possible. However, OnePlus will again not install wireless charging this year because it simply charges too slowly for the OnePlus standards. They are working on a dash charge for QI charging, but this is still taking time. Maybe we'll see Dash QI charging in the OnePlus 7 next spring.
Many manufacturers are now installing stereo or Dolby Surround speakers in their flagship smartphones. These ensure that the sound comes out of the speakers from the left and right when the smartphone is tilted. This is especially suitable for movies or videos. So far, OnePlus has not done so, and no information has yet been given as to whether this will be built into the OnePlus 6T.
How much will the OnePlus 6T cost?
A good question. If you look at the MSRP for the market launch of the OnePlus smartphones in recent years, each new flagship costs around 30 euros more. The OnePlus 6 was initially available for 519 euros in the cheapest variant. Accordingly, the 6T could start at 549 euros, up to almost 700 euros for the strongest version.
So it remains exciting to see what OnePlus will be putting on the table this October. We'll stay tuned and follow up the rumors about the OnePlus 6T here TechnikNews.
