With the OnePlus Nord CE 2, the group is introducing a new budget phone and the successor to last year's Nord CE. All information.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 follows the Nord CE from last year, which was convincing in our test, but had a difficult position in the group. The CE 2 has improved in a few points in the data sheet. What remains is the 6,43″ small Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90 Hertz refresh rate. OxygenOS 11 is still used as the software, no Android 12. An update is to follow in the second half of 2022, the device will receive a total of two OS upgrades. The SoC has been improved. A MediaTek Dimensity 900 is used, with either 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM. In Germany, however, only the 8 GB RAM version with 128 gigabytes will be sold.

OnePlus Nord CE 2: 65 Super VOOC and tried and tested cameras

The battery has probably received the biggest update. The total of 4500 mAh strong dual-cell batteries are now charged with a fast 65 watts instead of the 33 watts from last year. The charging technology is now officially called SuperVOOC instead of WarpCharge from OnePlus. The device should be able to be charged from 0 to 100 in 32 minutes. The cameras haven't changed much. A 64-megapixel camera is still used as the main sensor, and the ultra-wide angle again has a resolution of 8 megapixels. A third camera is intended for macro shots and has a resolution of 2 megapixels.

The front camera sits in a punch hole on the left side of the display and is a Sony IMX471 sensor. This has a maximum resolution of 16 megapixels. Special features are a 3,5 mm jack and a dual SIM and microSD card slot. Unfortunately, the OnePlus device still doesn't have the typical alert slider.

The device comes in two colors (Bahama Blue, Gray Mirror) on the German market and will be available from March 10.3th. The device can be pre-ordered from March 3.3 for 349 euros on OnePlus.com and other partners (Amazon, Otto, Sparhandy, DeinHandy and Saturn & MM).
