OPPO A76: New entry-level smartphone now available

With the OPPO A76, OPPO wants to serve the budget. You can find out here whether this works.
The new entry-level smartphone comes with SuperVOOC 33Watt fast charging. At the same time, it even gets a large 5000 mAh battery. These are probably the biggest advantages of the A76.

According to OPPO, these are the reasons that should justify the purchase of an A76. (Image: OPPO Germany)
There is also an HD+ display with a 90 Hertz refresh rate and a screen diagonal of 6,56 inches, which corresponds to around 17 centimeters. There is also the proven OPPO quality and the OPPO Glow Design.

What's under the hood?
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is used as the processor. This is probably sufficient for most people. After all, it can be assumed that nobody actually needs the pure power of a Snapdragon 888 or even a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 in a smartphone, which most people only use for emails, videos or Candy Crush anyway.
OPPO SuperVOOC 33W on board
In addition to the 5000 milliampere hour battery, which is also installed in the Find X5 Pro, there is also fast charging with SuperVOOC at 33 watts. The power adapter and cable are of course included in the delivery.

Speaking of the scope of delivery: A silicone protective cover and a protective film attached in front are also included.
Fingerprint sensor not under the display
Of course, you don't expect a fingerprint sensor under the display in this price range. As usual, this has been placed in the power button. The device unlocks as soon as you turn it on.
memory and OS
The A76 uses a combination of four gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory. The latter can be expanded with a microSD up to one terabyte. However, I would have expected at least six gigabytes of RAM. Whether OPPO here on their RAM extension familiar via software?
As a system you get Android 11 and ColorOS in version 11.1. Unfortunately no Android 12, which would be really great in the price range. However, the A76 should also receive two updates of the Android versions, as well as security updates for three years.
NFC for contactless payment via Google Pay is also included.
Price and pre-order bonus
The OPPO A76 will be available in Germany from March 16, 2022 for an RRP of 249 euros. As usual, there is a good pre-order package available from OPPO. If you buy via 1&1, you will get the OPPO Enco Buds for free until April 30th. From March 21, OPPO will also add the Enco Buds via Amazon.
