OPPO Reno8 Lite introduced: mid-range smartphone for 389 euros
Only recently OPPO officially presented the new Reno7 for the German market, but that was obviously not enough, because the OPPO Reno8 Lite was the next smartphone in the Reno series.
The Reno8 Lite does not have any great features for its offered price of 389 euros. The device is clearly aimed at people who do not have too high expectations of their smartphone.
Technical data
A 6,4-inch OLED display dominates the front, which has a resolution of 2.400 x 1.080 pixels and supports a refresh rate of just 60 Hertz. It is commendable that it is an OLED panel, but 60 Hertz is no longer really up-to-date in 2022 for a smartphone that costs 389 euros. However, some should be happy about the 3,5mm jack connection.
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 695 from Qualcomm, which is supported by 8 GB of RAM. In addition, there is 128 GB of internal memory, which is procan easily be expanded using a microSD card. The software used is the in-house ColorOS user interface in version 12, which unfortunately is still based on Android 11. A 4.500 mAh battery, which can be recharged fairly quickly with the included 33 watt power supply, is supposed to ensure long runtimes.
OPPO seems to have saved a little on the cameras, because the manufacturer does without an ultra wide-angle camera, which is anything but usual in this price range. A 64 megapixel sensor is responsible as the main sensor and there are also two other sensors, each with 2 megapixels, which are used for macro and black-and-white shots. You can take selfies with the 16 megapixel front camera.
