Pocket Casts is quite a popular podcast app for Android, iOS, and the web. Version 7 was released today.

Pocket Casts 7 was in beta for the past four months and anyone with an Android or iOS device could participate. This morning the developers then placed the final new version in the Play Store, the App Store and on the web. This update focused particularly on the design and stability.

Pocket Casts 7: This is new

When it comes to innovations, I am mainly referring to the app for Android. Most of the changes also apply to the web app and iOS.

The main menu with the items for the subscribed podcasts, the filters, the Discover and the Profil page has now moved down. In return, the panel through which you could call up these things before disappeared. The app settings and downloaded podcast episodes are now available via the Profil page accessible. The same applies to the statistics and the marked episodes.

Let's take a closer look at the page with the subscribed podcasts. The three-point menu can now be used to define whether the individual podcasts should show how many open issues are in them. There is also an entry in this list that can be used to change the display layout of the subscriptions.

Everything about the filters is the same, except for the appearance of the creationprozesses has been modernized. The same applies to the Discover tab.

Pocket Casts are available in the Play Store, the App Store and in the Website. The prices range from 3,99 euros to 9,99 euros.
