Realme 8 Pro: OLED display and 108 megapixel camera for 279 euros

Realme officially introduced a new smartphone, the Realme 24 Pro, on March 8. For just 279 euros, customers get, among other things, an OLED panel and a 108 megapixel quad camera.

The remaining technical data is largely similar to that of its predecessor, but some improvements are said to have been made, especially in the cameras. We have now summarized everything important about the new Realme 8 Pro.

Realme 8 Pro: Technical specifications

The display has light and shadow at the same time. It is a high-quality Full HD + OLED panel, but it only supports a refresh rate of 60 Hertz. There a Notes redmi 10 Pro for the same price is equipped with a 120 Hertz OLED display, 60 Hertz in the Realme 8 Pro is rather sobering. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 720G from Qualcomm, which we already know from the previous model and the Galaxy A52 know. Depending on the version, there is also 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory. The latter can be accessed via a micro SD card probe easily expanded.

The in-house Realme UI, based on Android 11, is used as software. A 4.500 mAh battery should ensure long battery life, and thanks to 50 watts SuperDart Charge, it can be charged to up to 17 percent in 50 minutes. The smartphone can be unlocked using the fingerprint sensor integrated into the display. There is also a jack connection on the bottom. Unfortunately, you will look in vain for stereo speakers on the Realme 8 Pro.

The Chinese manufacturer has installed a quad camera on the back, which is supposed to be a significant upgrade compared to its predecessor. The main sensor comes from Samsung, has a resolution of 108 megapixels and, thanks to its enormous size of 1 / 1.52 inches, can absorb a lot of light. The aperture is f / 1.89. Furthermore, there is an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 megapixels on board, which is used in almost all mid-range smartphones. The setup is supplemented by two additional sensors, each with 2 megapixels, which are used for macro shots and depth effects. The front camera on the front sits in a small recess in the display and has a resolution of 16 megapixels.

Realme 8 Pro: Price, colors and availability

The Realme 8 Pro will be released on March 31st in the colors Punk Black, Infinite Black and Infinite Blue. The smallest version with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage is available for 279 euros and the larger version with 8 GB RAM costs 20 euros more.
