The Z Fold3 builds that fold2 in some areas. This year the 6,2-inch, small HD + display on the front is also equipped with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hertz, just like the interior display from the Fold2. The 7,6-inch indoor display, which has a QXGA + resolution, has also received an innovation this year. The front camera has been hidden under the display, it has a resolution of 4 megapixels. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3: For the first time with S-Pen and water resistance
As a Proprocessor sits inside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is equipped with either 256 or 512 gigabytes of internal UFS 3.1 storage. The battery has become 100 mAh smaller and is only 4.400 mAh in size, but this also reduces the weight from 282 to 271 grams. The device also supports fast charging, with a maximum of 25 watts. The Fold3 supports wireless charging with up to 10 watts.
The software runs Android 11 with "One UI 3.1.1" surface. The three cameras on the back all have a resolution of 12 megapixels, these are a wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and a telephoto camera. The fingerprint sensor is located in the on/off button and can also be used for Samsung Pay. What is new is that the Z Fold3 supports the Samsung "S-Pen". There are two pens for the device, the "S Pen Fold Edition" can only be used with the fold. An S Pen Pro can be purchased to support other Samsung devices. The device has stereo speakers and supports 5G and WLAN 6. For the first time, the device is also waterproof according to IPX8.

The Z Fold3 can now be pre-ordered from Samsung. The device is available in three colors: “Phantom Black” (black), “Phantom Silver” (silver) and “Phantom Green” (dark green). Pre-orderers receive a “Note Pack” with cover, S-Pen (Fold Edition) and the 25 watt power supply. The Z Fold 3 with 256 gigabytes of storage costs 1.799 euros in this country, for 100 euros more there is the version with 512 gigabytes of storage. The devices will be available in Germany and Austria from August 27th.
