Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar Mini presented at IFA 2023
Sennheiser came to IFA 2023 with a new soundbar, the AMBEO Soundbar Mini. You can read what this can do in this article.
With the Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar Mini, the manufacturer is adding a third, smaller and less expensive soundbar to its range. The product measures 70 x 10 x 6,5 centimeters and is therefore only half the volume of the next largest AMBEO Soundbar Plus.
Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar Mini: sound and connectivity
The main feature of the AMBEO Soundbar Mini is the eponymous AMBEO virtualization technology (7.1.4), which provides room-filling sound from a single device and was developed together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS. That's why the device is also certified with Dolby Atmos. I was able to listen to this briefly as part of a guided hands-on and it sounds surprisingly good. Detailed details will then be given in a test report. In order for this to work, several microphones are installed, which capture the room and adjust the sound accordingly.
The subwoofer AMBEO Sub is available separately and connects to the soundbar via Bluetooth. This provides an even better experience, but is not absolutely necessary for use.
The AMBEO Soundbar Mini is connected to the TV via HDMI eArc and Chromecast, uPnP, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect are of course also supported. The Soundbar Mini can also be used with Bluetooth. Alexa and the Google Assistant are represented in the language assistants. The device is otherwise controlled via the Sennheiser Smart Control app.
Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar Mini: Pricing and Availability
