Due to the ongoing severe weather situation with flooding and storms in Austria, the mobile phone providers A1, Drei and Magenta are enabling unlimited call and data units. We have all the details about who can make unlimited calls and surf the internet with which tariff in which network and for how long.

In a nutshell: Very straightforward and without bureaucracy - for everyone: Drei and Magenta are offering unlimited minutes and data volumes until Friday, September 20, 2024. A1 even offers this until Sunday, September 22, 2024. At Magenta and Drei, this applies to all tariffs, prepaid cards and business customers in the respective network. At A1, this only seems to benefit contract customers (private & business). In all three networks, however, this promotion only applies within Austria and not abroad.

Magenta presents

The first message reached us yesterday evening from Magenta, which in Newsroom emphasize that we want to offer support in the form of unlimited units to those affected and helpers in the country:

Countless victims and helpers are working non-stop, whatever the weather. To ensure they can stay connected, Magenta is now offering unlimited data and call minutes within Austria for all mobile phone tariffs.

As a customer, you do not have to take any action yourself, the unit quantities consumed are not billed, even if this may be shown differently in the customer portal. According to some users, in the "LTE Forum“ the units used are still displayed and shown as limited. This concession applies to both private and business customers, emphasizes Magenta.

Three moves to

A few hours later, Austria's second largest mobile operator - Drei - followed suit with this offer. There, too, all customers get unlimited call minutes and data. As with Magenta, the assistance is valid until next Friday, as can be seen on Facebook writes:

Many people are in distress due to the current storms. To ensure you stay connected, all Drei customers now have unlimited data and call minutes within Austria. This applies to all voice tariffs including prepaid cards up to and including Friday, September 20.9.2024, XNUMX.

A1 & bob are also there

On Monday morning, A1 also announced that it would be taking part in the campaign with bob. As the company announced via Facebook and in one Press release As announced, there are unlimited data and call minutes for all contract customers (private and business customers) – even up to and including Sunday:

When times are tough, one thing is important: being connected and staying connected. That's why A1 is giving all A1 contract customers and all bob customers unlimited phone minutes and unlimited data within Austria until September 22nd. No separate registration is necessary. The unlimited minutes and data apply to both private and business customers.

What about HoT, Spusu and more?

Anyone who uses networks such as HoT and Spusu is known to be a "subtenant" in the Magenta and Drei networks. Be careful, the promotion does not apply there. However, it is possible that they could follow suit at any time. We will update the article as soon as we know more.
