Last night Sony revealed a lot of news about the new PlayStation 5 as part of a livestream event. In the end, Sony also showed the console.

The new PlayStation 5 now comes with a completely redesigned design. The PS5 is now kept in a black and white design, which looks very futuristic due to many curves. In contrast to the PS4, the PS5 must now be set up. The console can no longer be placed under the television, for example. In addition, there are now two different model variants of the PS5. In addition to a model with a drive, the PS5 will also be available in a so-called digital edition without a drive. Sony wants to accelerate the sale of digital games and can offer their users a (presumably) cheaper version of the PS5 at the same time.

Sony has not yet announced prices or exact dates for the availability of the PS5 on Thursday. More detailed information will probably be available in the next few weeks.

PS5 with a new controller

It has been known since the beginning of April that Sony is not continuing its DualShock series with the PS5 and that there is now a completely new DualSense controller instead. The DualSense controller should give the players very realistic haptic feedback, so that the gaming experience should be even more realistic. A so-called adaptive trigger is now also installed behind the L2 and R2 buttons. The adaptive triggers should also make the gaming experience even more realistic. Sony will offer matching charging stations for the DualSense controllers.

In addition to the controller, the PS5 will also come with a lot of other accessories, so Sony also announced Pulse 3D headphones with 3D sound support and an HD camera.
