Not a year goes by in which Sony does not speak to the IFA. And so this year too. In addition to a new smartphone, some new headphones and a loudspeaker were shown. An overview.

Sony Xperia XZ3

The Sony Xperia XZ3 is available in several colors: black, white, green and red. The P-OLED display is 6 inches and has a resolution of 1440p. There are stereo speakers above and below the display. The single camera has a resolution of 19MP and the front camera sensor has a resolution of 15MP. As you would expect from Sony, the latest version of Android was preinstalled: Android 9.0 Pie. At the Prozessor the Snapdragon 845 was chosen, which is supported by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The battery turned out to be average with 3300mAh. The smartphone can be pre-ordered from September at an RRP of €799.

Sony WH-1000XM3

The design of the Sony WH-1000XM3 has not changed compared to its predecessor. This means that these are over-ear headphones again. There is also noise canceling again. The QN1 HD noise canceling was specially designed for thisproprocessor installed. In addition, the headphones can again adapt the noise canceling to the ambient noise this year. According to Sony, the battery life is a maximum of 30 hours. The headphones are priced at an RRP of 379 euros.

Sony WF-SP900

The Sony WF-SP900 are wireless in-ear headphones. These will be available in orange, black and white. Thanks to the IPX5 certification, you can dive up to two meters deep with them - in salt and fresh water. A special feature: 4GB of internal memory was built in to save songs on the headphones. A neck loop is also included to connect the headphones together. Sony calls for an MSRP of 900 euros for the WF-SP279.

Sony XB501G Extra Bass

The XB501G Extra Bass is a Bluetooth speaker with Google Assistant built-in. This should be particularly suitable for parties because of the enhanced bass and the built-in light strip. Thanks to the DSP technology, the speaker can even generate 3D sound, which Sony calls LIVE SOUND. A Chromecast has also been integrated, which means that the XB501G Extra Bass also has WiFi. Thanks to this Chromecast you can use several of these speakers without large Proconnect problems together. The price of this speaker is around 300 euros. You can buy the XB501G from October.
