As of today, July 04th, some Netflix users will see a new subscription model: Netflix Ultra. All information about the new subscription.

These subscription models have been available so far

Previously, Netflix offered three different subscriptions: Basic, Standard, and Premium. Base cost just under eight euros pro Month. You could watch films and series in SD quality on up to one device at the same time.

With standard, which is almost 11 euros pro month, streaming in HD was offered on up to two devices at the same time.

Premium was a whopping 14 euros pro Month's most expensive subscription so far, streaming in 4K with HDR on up to four devices simultaneously.

Ultra Premium steals the show

Ultra is now joining these three subscription models, whose prices will not change for the time being. This should basically cost €19,99, but depending on the device, browser and place of residence you can get it for €16,99 pro Month.

This offers streaming with a resolution of up to 4K with HDR or high quality audio. The latter also depends on the device, browser and place of residence. You can stream on up to two or four devices at the same time, this point is also determined by the factors already mentioned. HDR is now completely eliminated with Premium.

Deviations in the Ultra subscription: Why?

Now most people are amazed why the features and price of Ultra are influenced by the device, browser or location used. For this very reason asked Mobiflip at Netflix Germany for an opinion. That was the answer:

Netflix is constantly testing new things, and the tests usually vary in length of time. In this case, Netflix is testing slightly different pricing levels and features to better understand how consumers view the value of Netflix.

Not everyone will see this test, and the specific items featured review may not be offered to members.

Netflix is testing Ultra, as teased in the title of the article, so meanwhile. In my opinion, this also makes perfect sense, as the company can adapt its offer even better thanks to the variations in prices and features.
