Spark: The alternative to Google Inbox is now officially available for Android

(Post picture: © 2019 Spark)

If Spark isn't a name among the mail apps, it's not Proproblem As of today, the app is now also available on Android, previously it was only available exclusively for iOS. To today Shutdown of Google Inbox you use this point in time perfectly.

Last week we had over that Beta version of Spark for Android reported. Now it actually happened pretty quickly: after the start of the betaProgrammes, the app is now available for everyone in the Google Play Store. The Mail app is said to be a perfect alternative to Inbox by Google, which is being discontinued today. Inbox was known for grouping its own emails into categories and also displaying them in groups and categories. Spark does the same – it has been on iOS for a while and now on Android too.

Spark: Smart notifications and emails in groups

Like Readdle, the makers behind the smart mail app, in a corresponding blog post announcing today, there are a few reasons why users are favoring the email app. There are smart notifications that only notify users via emails from people. This means that annoying newsletters can be easily filtered out in the notifications. The app learns over time and - logically - saves the user's data in the cloud. That is why a Spark account is required before setting up. The app also divides emails into groups - this function is called "Smart Inbox".

There are also some great features for teams. You can create a team in the app and invite all members - they can now discuss things together via email. If two people on the team receive an email, the discussion will automatically fade in. There is a video to explain all the functions on Youtube released. We have also embedded this for you directly above.

The mail app supports all common providers, such as Google, Exchange, Yahoo !, iCloud, Outlook.com, KerioConnect and all other IMAP + POP3 accounts. Spark is currently available free of charge for Android. The app is also available for iPhone, iPad and the Apple Watch in the App Store. A corresponding one TechnikNews Test to Spark will follow.
