Spotify: Android widget is coming back

A few ago, Spotify took this Android widget from your own appwhat the users didn't like. Now you gave in, the widget is coming back.
Spotify listened to user feedback and wants to bring the removed Android widget back in the near future. This was assured by a community manager of the streaming service in the community forum. However, it is unclear when we will see the small mini player on the home screen again.

We value your input and ideas, and wanted to let you know that we have made some improvements to the performance and visuals of the Android Widget.
We will be reinstating it in an upcoming release on Androidproving our app in order to prosee the best experience…
The provider removed the widget with the reason that the playback control in the notification center works the same and the small window is therefore seen as unnecessary. In addition, the appearance no longer matched the UI of the app. The community manager therefore also assured that the appearance and performance of the small widget would be changed before the re-release.
