The Stack Overflow The Key was actually supposed to be an April Fool's joke. Since there was a lot of interest in such a product, you can now pre-order it.
Stack Overflow is a website where programmers can post a question or problem and get help from other users. Then April 1st of this year came and the site operators couldn't pass up an April Fools' joke. They announced that you would only be allowed a limited number of copies on Stack Overflow unless you bought The Key. But what exactly is that?
Stack Overflow The Key: Mini three-key keyboard
The Key is a small keyboard with three keys for copying and pasting things. Potential buyers at the time were disappointed that it was just a hoax and The Key didn't actually exist. Stack Overflow took the feedback and proactually produced such a keyboard.
Let's take a closer look at the device. This has a C and a V button and a button with the logo of the website. The latter is probably comparable to the Control key on a Windows PC and the Command key on a Mac. As already mentioned, these three buttons are like this from the factory proprogrammed to copy and paste things. But you can use other combinations as well. The keyboard connects to a computer via USB-C.
