Stars upset: Snapchat is again fooling around

After the rollout of the pretty unpopular new Snapchat design Snapchat allowed itself the next glitch this week. This time not directly with the user, but two stars were upset this week. The reason for this is a rather inappropriate survey as an advertisement.

For this purpose, an advertisement with a vote appeared in English-speaking regions. You can choose whether you prefer to hit Rihanna or Chris Brown (English: "punch" or "slap"). So a hit for the PR and the stars themselves.

Snapchat glitch: Rihanna reacts

The survey also went viral on Twitter. A user posted the survey on the social network last week. Some users reacted quite annoyed and recommended to uninstall the app and wondered what was going on with Snapchat at the moment. By the way, this is what the survey looked like (but you can no longer see it):

So far not so bad. But if Rihanna hadn't officially responded to it yet. She is quite angry and mentions that Snapchat has not been her favorite app for a long time. She communicates her displeasure - what a surprise - not on Snapchat, but in her Instagram story.

This is how Snapchat reacted to it

Sure - Snapchat had to respond officially and gave The Verge make a statement. Even if you apologize for the ad in retrospect, in this case the money seems to have been more important than the final content of the ad. In addition, this advertising probably also washed some money back into the till - it still reached a few by the time it was deleted.

This advertisement is disgusting and should never have appeared on our service. We are so sorry we made the terrible mistake of allowing it through our review process. We are investigating how that happened so that we can make sure it never happens again.

Snapchat also describes this ad as offensive and assures that it will never again appear on Snapchat. It is said to have made an error in the process of checking the ad. Now you look for the cause and apologize for the incident.

The company is making really bad headlines right now. But not only that: you already have last month lay off numerous employees, the stock goes down and the users become fewer. Judging by Rihanna's reaction alone, she was Snapchat stock at four Procents dropped. What is it? In short: Snapchat will not be able to continue like this and massive changes are needed, you know that yourself.
