With the TCL 20L, TCL 20L + and TCL 20 Pro 5G, the manufacturer TCL officially presented three affordable smartphones today. We have all the details about the new smartphone trio in this article.

TCL 20L: Technical Specifications

The TCL 20L is the cheaper of the two smartphones and comes with a Qualcomm 662 Proprocessor, which is combined with 6 gigabytes of RAM memory and 64 gigabytes of internal memory. There is no more than 64 gigabytes of storage, but this can be expanded with a microSD card. A 6.67 inch full HD+ IPS panel with 60Hz is used as the display. The manufacturer also advertises its stereo speakers, which are rarely found in this price range.

A 48 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and two additional 2 MP sensors are used as cameras. The first 2 MP sensor is used for macro shots, the other for depth information. The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels. The 5.000 mAh battery is recharged with the included charging cable, but it shouldn't be too fast. A 3,5 mm jack connection will still be installed, as well as NFC. TCL relies on Google's latest Android 11 operating system. The device is IP52 certified.

The TCL 20L can be pre-ordered shortly and will be available in the colors “Eclipse Black” and “Luna Blue” for around 200 euros.

TCL 20L +: The smartphone in between

The TCL 20L + joins the middle of the three smartphones. It should be characterized by its display, photography and design. The TCL 20L + comes with a "Circular Polarization Display Technology", which enables users to see the display perfectly and in natural colors even when there is a lot of sunlight. Basically, the contents of the TCL 20L + are shown on a 6,67-inch FHD + display.

A trio of cameras is also used here, consisting of a main camera with 64 MP, wide-angle camera with 8 MP, a macro camera with 2 MP and another lens for depth information with also 2 MP. The Snapdragon 662 is used under the hood, just like in the "normal" L. There is also 6 GB of working memory together with 256 GB of internal memory. This can be expanded up to a terabyte.

The battery should last a day with its 5.000 mAh and be recharged in 2,5 hours. There is also a jack connection here, but not 5G. It comes in the colors "Milky Way Gray" and "North Star Blue".

TCL 20 Pro (5G): The best of the series

With the TCL 20 Pro (5G), the manufacturer will present the best device in its TCL 2o series. The device comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G Proprocessor, which is also combined with 6 GB RAM, but with 256 gigabytes of memory (the memory can be expanded with a maximum of 1 TB). The display is also 6,67 inches and has a Full HD+ resolution (like the 20L), but shows better black levels thanks to OLED technology. Through the 750G Prozessor, the device (as the name suggests) supports the latest 5G mobile communications standard.

The cameras used are a 48 megapixel main camera, a 16 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and also the 2 megapixel camera for depth information. The macro camera has been improved to 5 megapixels. A better front camera with 32 megapixel resolution is also installed. At 4.500 mAh, the battery is smaller than the 20L, the headphone jack is still available. The device is IP52 certified.

The TCL 20 Pro will be available in the colors "Moondust Gray" and "Marine Blue" for around 500 euros.
