You can do that this Sunday too TechnikNews Weekly don't fail: the summary of the last week for all technology fans. In the last few days it was, among other things, a DNS malfunction at Cloudflare, WhatsApp was down and Twitter was hacked.

Need useless knowledge? With pleasure - today we still have exactly 165 days until New Year's Eve. Despite all the things that 2020 brought us, this year will also pass quickly and we are almost in week 30. But now it's time for the 125th edition of the TechnikNews Weekly, which has been published every Sunday since February 18, 2018. Cloudflare DNS disturbed, Google DNS and others also affected

Last week there was a widespread disruption in the DNS service at Cloudflare. This paralyzed what felt like half of the internet: many websites and users use 1.1.1.1 as their DNS service and were therefore affected by the failure. After about 30 minutes that was it ProHowever, the problem has been rectified - a defective configuration of a router is said to have been the cause.

WhatsApp Messenger with Protrouble

In addition to the disruption at Cloudflare, WhatsApp struggled with a brief outage last Tuesday. So it was not possible to receive or send messages through the service for half an hour. Then everything was back to normal and WhatsApp was fully usable again.

Verified accounts on Twitter hacked

As if there wasn't enough in the past week Probleme, there was a large-scale hack on Twitter on Thursday night. Numerous verified accounts have been hacked, such as those of Barack Obama, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and more. The scammers took over the accounts and asked followers to pay Bitcoin into an account to get it doubled - as a "thank you". Anyone who has transferred no longer needs to count on their money.
