No software is perfect. Google also knows this and has been working hard on Wear OS for smartwatches in the last few months. With an update, you can now operate your smartwatch even faster with "Tiles".

The developer conference Google I / O will take place next week, where not only new software will be presented this year. So is hardware in the form of new pixel smartphones planned. Now you have the Google Blog announced an interesting function, which should make the operation of the Smartwatch even easier. The new function is called “tiles”.

In the future, you should be able to jump through various menu items by simply swiping on a clock face. You can choose between six "tiles" and adjust the order of these. Currently there are tiles for your own goals, next appointments, weather, heart rate (if supported by smartwatch), news and timers. More tiles are to follow later. Apps like Spotify will also be integrated into these tiles in the future - here you can change a song very quickly, simply swipe left a few times. If you want to change the order of the tiles, you have to hold them down and use the arrows to move them.

This is how the new function works in Action:

The new function is to be rolled out in the coming months for all smartwatches, which also receive current updates. So if you have one of the newer versions of Wear OS, you can expect an update soon. As always, this can take some time.
