After an update for iOS users, the well-known, popular Messenger now supports the new feature, this also the brand new one iPhone 6S owns: 3D Touch. It is now possible to switch directly to a new chat from the home screen and search for messages.

WhatsApp is now also integrating the new 3D touch feature into its app. Because everyone has to Programmarian adapt his app specifically for the new feature in order to be able to use it. Not every device supports 3D-Touch: currently it is only installed in the new iPhone 6S & the iPhone 6S Plus with iOS9. Depending on the strength of the pressure, you can now "right-click" on supported apps, as you would on a PC, to get more detailed information about the app, to run a specific function of an app directly, such as opening a search, or to a specific post to open.

A small preview for business cards and pictures

If you hold down longer and firmly on a business card or on a picture that was sent to you in the chat, you will now see a small preview of the respective contact or information about the picture. Furthermore, a small innovation has been introduced: now it is possible, as with Android, to reply to the message directly with a message line through a popup window in WhatsApp, without having to open WhatsApp.

WhatsApp's 3D touch features are currently still expandable, but are some new steps into the future of 3D touch.

Very cool feature! Unfortunately, I don't own an iPhone myself: / I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5.
