WWDC 16: Apple invites you to the keynote on June 13th

Apple has now sent out the invitations for the press for the Apple developer conference WWDC 16 on June 13th. New information on iOS and OS X is planned, but there could also be some news on Siri. There could even be an update for the Apple Watch.

Who tech insider Now reported, the invitations for media representatives have now been sent out. The time is also known, as Apple holds the developer conference at the same time every year. The event will take place Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, previously the event took place in the Moscone-West-Zentrum, steeped in tradition. So the keynote starts at 10 a.m. local time in San Francisco, our time the event starts as usual at 19 p.m. A successor to iOS 9 is expected. This should even be given a completely new lock screen. There should also be something new for Macs - OS X version 10.12. There should even be new OS versions for the Apple Watch and Apple TV, i.e. watchOS and tvOS.

Updates to Siri and new iOS 10?

You will probably expect some updates to Siri at the keynote, such as a developer interface with which it will be possible for developers to control their apps with Siri. Corresponding kits are supposed to be awarded during the conference. In addition, a revised lock screen is suspected, with which one could in future be able to display widgets on the lock screen of his iPhone. So far, however, these are only leaks, so it has not yet been confirmed by Apple. There is also speculation on the Internet that a new iPhone would even be presented at the keynote or that there will be a successor to the Apple Watch. We currently don't believe that the devices will be presented in the coming days, but rather at Apple's big September keynote at the earliest.

The introduction of the new iOS 10 is also eagerly awaited. Therefore, the WWDC 16 will be all about software such as iOS 10, Apple WatchOS, tvOS and MacOS. In terms of hardware, like the presentation of the iPhone 7, nothing will be presented yet. To be able to follow the live stream directly, you can go to Apple's WWDC app Download from the App Store. The live stream starts exactly at 19 p.m. We from TechnikNews will of course report on it.
