XGIMI Horizon/Pro presented: The new flagship projectors can do that
The Chinese projector specialist “XGIMI” today launched its new flagship projector “XGIMI Horizon/Pro" presented. All information.
With the “Horizon” family, the Chinese manufacturer “XGIMI” wants to conquer the living room of its customers. The new projectors are more "all in one entertainment" systems than normal projectors. Because both come in the global version with the latest Android TV 10.
XGIMI Horizon: Technical Specifications
The cheaper projector in the series is the XGIMI Horizon. This offers a standard resolution of Full HD and 300 inches (approx. 8 meters). This is made possible by a 0.47 ″ DMD RGB-LED display chip. With 2000 A NSI lumens, the projector is also bright enough. The projector can also display 3D material. In order to keep a stable image, XGIMI built in an "automatic trapezoid correction for vertical and horizontal video playback." The projector has 2 gigabytes of RAM memory and 16 gigabytes of internal memory. The projector has two 8 watt speakers for stereo sound on board.
The projector supports screen mirroring via AirPlay DLNA and the XGIMI assistant. The connections have a DC connection, 2x HDMI (ARC), 1x USB 2 and 1x USB 3.0. An Ethernet connection for video streaming has also been installed. A 3,5 mm jack and an SPDIF connection are available for external speakers. Those who prefer to use Bluetooth can do so via Bluetooth 4.0. The second newest WLAN ac (5) standard is integrated for streaming via WLAN. At 2.5 KG the projector is not easy. Despite the demanding hardware, the projector should be quiet below thirty decibels.
The XGIMI Horizon Pro can be pre-ordered from April 19 for 1099 euros.
XGIMI Horizon Pro: Brighter and sharper
The flagship "Horizon Pro“ brings some improvements, for more money. The hardware is identical to the Horizon except for a few points. The big difference is in the sharpness. By default, the Horizon shows Pro Video content in 4K and with 2200 lumens. The RAM is identical with 2 GB, but twice as much memory is installed (32 gigabytes). The lamp should last up to 30.000 hours. HDR 10 is also supported. The Fast Boot feature (for both projectors) lets the projector start up in 4 seconds and display an image in 6 seconds.
The XGIMI Horizon Pro can be pre-ordered from April 19 for 1699 euros.
The manufacturer will find out more about the projector his side announce.
