In a few weeks we could see a new fitness tracker from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has now shown itself on a first render image. It should come with a color display and NFC for cashless payments.

Xiaomi's fitness trackers are popular, presumably because of their low price. Such a tape is already available for less than 40 euros. From the predecessor Xiaomi Mi Band 3 if you sold 10 million units, now it's a year later Time for the successor Xiaomi Mi Band 4. This is to come with a color display for the first time. Rumor has it that there will also be an NFC chip. Gizchina has some hints about the tracker, AndroidTR even a first picture (in the cover picture).

Xiaomi Mi Band 4: Better readable display, Smart Assistant and NFC

These three points should be the main innovations in the upcoming fitness tracker from Xiaomi. Until now, the display of the Mi Band 3 was difficult to read in the sunlight - this one Proproblem you want to tackle with a colored OLED display. This should also increase in the display diagonal and be 0,95 inches in size instead of 0,78 inches on the predecessor. Otherwise, the tracker looks pretty much the same as its predecessor. A heart rate monitor on the underside should also be on board again, and it should also be waterproof again.

The other changes should also include a smart assistant. The in-house Xiao AI assistant is supposed to be used here, but it has only been offered in China so far. An alternative, such as the Google Assistant or the general absence of an assistant, would be quite realistic. In addition, there will also be an NFC chip for cashless payments. But whether this will actually be possible in this country is not so likely. The music control via the tape should also be an innovation. Until now, this function was only possible with third-party apps.

Information on the price is not yet available, but the equivalent of over 40 euros can be assumed. Compared to other fitness trackers, it is still a cheaper price. A pretty interesting tracker, especially for beginners. The price hit Xiaomi Mi Band 3 from last year was available for under 30 euros.
