Xiaomi is well known for its smartphones in this country, but in other parts of the world the manufacturer makes absolutely everything you can imagine. This also includes projectors and one of them already exists in this country, the “Mi Smart Compact Proejector". This now gets a big brother, the “Mi Smart Proinjector 2 Pro“. Now one might ask why directly a second version and why Pro, if there is only one device. The previous versions were not released in Germany.

The projector can produce a maximum of 120 inches (approx. 3 m) full HD image with HDR 10 dynamic range. This with a maximum brightness of 1.300 ANSI lumens, which is 500 lumens more than the "Compact". The projector also serves as a smart home speaker. If you want to use the projector as a music box, you can also do this via Bluetooth or Google Assistant. You can also use it to control lights or vacuum robots just by voice.
Android TV 9 is preinstalled on the projector, so you have access to the Google Play Store for all necessary third-party apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Co. In addition, the projector can be used as a Google Chromecast. A button on the remote control is even reserved for all Netflix fans. 16 gigabytes of storage are used as mass storage; if you need more, you have to move films to hard drives.
If you want to consume your media externally from Android TV, you can connect your device via HDMI 2.0 x 1, HDMI 2.0/ARC x 1, USB 2.0 x 2 or AV input x 1. If you prefer to stream, there is also an Ethernet connection. The Mi Smart Proinjector 2 Pro will soon be available for an RRP of 999 euros (global price, the price for Germany will be given later).
